With only a week to go until the Mara Festival of Cricket, preparations are well under way. This unique event, which begins on the 12th July, will see 6 teams of cricketers, of various abilities, battle it out for the coveted trophy. Ably supported by family and friends, it is sure to be a great social weekend. Surely there cannot be a more spectacular backdrop to a cricket event anywhere in the world than the Olerai Cricket Oval in the Maasai Mara, where the players and spectators will rub shoulders with the local wildlife.
But apart from the fun element it is also about giving back to the local community who host us over the weekend and this year 2020 Marketing are proud to be one of the main sponsors. The event has always supported the local community with significant funding going to the Emarti Primary and Secondary schools and towards local conservation through the Mara Elephant Protection scheme (MEP).
Both Directors of 2020 Marketing are long term supporters of this event having been attendees, and participants, since its inception. As a result they have also witnessed the development of Emarti Primary and Secondary schools, and their communities, which have been entirely born out of the Mara Festival of Cricket. Given our Directors support of the event the 2020 Marketing team was delighted to be in a position this year, to offer an extra level of support, through sponsorship to assist the Mara Festival of Cricket to continue their work in the area.
